Impaired vision can make a person of any age group dependent cum vulnerable. A considerable chunk of the rural population, particularly older persons' reported losing eye-sight due to cataracts and other eye-related issues. Most of them are either unaware of their condition or unable to afford surgeries. They face many barriers to accessing healthcare and related facilities.

To curb this scenario, PAT is helping people by organizing eye camps in Ariyalur and Thanjavur districts in collaboration with Lions Club T.Palur /Kumbakonam/Udayarpalayam and Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai/Puducherry.

The primary aim behind organizing these eye camps is to create awareness among these people and provide them with services like eye care education, full eye checkups, and medical care. We organize eye checkup camps at regular intervals every year to prevent people from getting major eye disorders.
