What we do?

Our mission is to empower the lives of impoverished, underprivileged, and marginalized segments of society.

We aim to facilitate their understanding of various facets, such as awareness and their public role. We enable them to understand the dynamics of political and economic systems, educational requirements and aspirations, and their rights and entitlements.

Our ultimate goal is to assist these individuals in overcoming the obstacles that hinder their upward mobility on the social and economic spectrum by harnessing local resources. This transformation process is a means to empower them and drive meaningful social change.

Growth path

In Year 1997, People Action for Transformation (PAT) embarked on its journey in Trichy, where it initially centered its efforts on implementation and execution of Children's Development program. This significant endeavor received generous support and collaboration from two esteemed organizations: Rotary International and ASHA for Education, based in the USA and Canada.

As PAT continued to evolve and grow, it broadened its horizons by diversifying its portfolio of impactful initiatives. These encompass a wide array of programs that aim to bring about positive changes in the community:

  • Empowering Women:

    PAT recognized the importance of gender equality and their empowerment in society. To address this, it established programs exclusively designed to uplift and empower women. These initiatives are skill-building workshops, entrepreneurship support, and advocacy for women's rights.

  • Educational Programs for Children:

    PAT extended its focus on educating children, understanding that education is the driving force of individual and societal development. Through EEP ( Education Empowerment Program) programs, PAT aimed to improve access to quality education, enhance learning outcomes, and create a brighter future for the younger generation.

  • Computer Training Initiatives:

    Recognizing the importance of skill development and economic empowerment, PAT launched Computer training institutions. These initiatives equip individuals, especially youth and marginalized groups, with the skills needed for sustainable employment and income generation.

  • Health Camps:

    Health is a fundamental aspect of well-being. PAT took proactive initiatives to address healthcare disparities by organizing health camps in collaboration with Lions Club and Aravind Hospitals. These camps provided vital medical services, check-ups, and health awareness campaigns to under served communities, improving overall health outcomes.

With the support of international organizations and a steadfast dedication to making a positive impact, PAT has expanded its activities to encompass various facets of societal well-being, ranging from children's development to women's empowerment, education, vocational training, and healthcare accessibility.
